It has two latches just behind the battery on the bottom of
the notebook.
They each need to be slid sideways to the outer egde and
then the battery can be slid out. Once catch will slide and stay, the other is
on a spring so will slide back.

I would like to thank Marvin. First, hold the 1st latch down
and slide 2nd latch to the side. By right, after this, by holding down the
first latch, one would be able to remove the battery. However, this seems
impossible. I had to insert a ruler and still holding down 1st latch, I pry the
batt out
